When to discuss removal
A damaged or declining tree, limited space or planned property works can prompt a removal enquiry. A leaning tree is not automatically a removal decision: its condition and surroundings need to be considered.
Work and access
Removal may involve dismantling a tree in sections or using machinery where the site permits. Tell us about gates, slopes, nearby buildings, overhead lines and access through neighbouring land. The method is agreed after the site is checked.
What to include in the quote
Ask for the tree or trees to be identified, the work boundary and the agreed treatment of branches, timber and mulch. Stump grinding, root excavation, backfilling and reinstatement are separate items unless expressly included.
Before work begins
Confirm ownership and any permissions for the proposed work. Access arrangements, exclusion areas and the final scope need to be settled before booking.

Is the stump removed too?
Only if stump grinding or another agreed method is included. Tree removal and stump grinding are different services.
